Currently Americans who make more than $160,000 per year in income pay no more social security taxes than someone making $160,000 per year, (even if they make $1,600,000,000 a year.) If this ceiling is removed, reportedly the social security budget would be set for the next seventy five years, rather than in danger of being cut.
